If the original problem is spyware/virus related, we can usually remove all traces without requiring a reinstallation of the system's software. In rare cases, a reinstallation is required in order to make the system work properly. If a device is wiped and has the software reinstalled, it will not have virus/spyware problems upon completion. Virus and spyware issues will not be covered under warranty if this occurs.
If a device has viruses and spyware removed instead of reinstalling all of the software from scratch, a second diagnosis will be done at no charge to the customer. If it is found that viruses and spyware related files were created after the system was picked up, the repair will not be covered under warranty.
